Job Description:
Job Purpose
The PM+ trainer will closely work with MHPSS officer, and MHPSS specialist, Counselors, and Site Managers and will be responsible for managing/supporting the MHPSS component of the project in the targeted province/ areas, including capacity building of the field staff, and Monitoring/Supervision with on-the-job coaching/training of the field staff and coordination with relevant stakeholders for services mapping and referral pathway.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Develop a detailed training and supervision plan for the trained PM+ & Thinking Healthy participants.

Provide initial and refresher in-person training for the non-specialized counsellors with the PM+ & Thinking Healthy training guide, its contents, and underlying principles.

Delivering engaging and informative sessions on PM+ & Thinking Healthy content, application, and training techniques through facilitating practical exercises, case discussions, and role-plays to enhance participants’ understanding and skills.

Ensure that participants are equipped adequately with the required skills and knowledge to provide ongoing support to the beneficiaries and provide ongoing support and guidance to participants during and after the training program.

Incorporate interactive training methodologies and adult learning practice alongside with regular supervision of the trained participants.

Assessing participants’ knowledge and skills through pre- and post-training evaluations.

Developing a comprehensive training report highlighting key outcomes, recommendations, and areas for improvement.

Conduct in person and remote supervision & support group and individual learning for the field staff to practice the learnings of the training throughout the project life.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of professional experience in organizing training and conducting clinical/supportive supervisions
Competency

Demonstrated mental health and psychosocial support expertise, focusing on humanitarian settings.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of the WHO Problem Management Plus (PM+) & thinking Healthy intervention and its training guide.

Proven experience in conducting Training of Trainers programs, preferably on mental health interventions.

Strong facilitation and training skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Experience working with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Fluency in English, and Pashto required.
