Our Edge Platform team takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai’s products.

As a Network Delivery Architect II, you will be collaborating with multiple teams to understand deployment requirements from a technical and business perspective. Together you will evaluate Akamai product needs and how to fulfil those in the internet ecosystem
As a Network Delivery Architect II, you will be responsible for:
Building and designing performant and scalable infrastructure to meet the traffic targets of the business
Coordinating deployment strategy and system changes, participating in timeline planning and release schedules, ensuring deliverables are met
Collaborating within the team and cross-functional teams to propose, plan and deploy new technology and processes
Identifying and working to resolve problems and improve efficiency in the network
Participating in architectural design discussions and planning sessions
Monitoring and planning IntraCity/InterCity connectivity by collaborating with Network Architects to address congestion and performance issues
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Be able to analyze data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrate experience with SQL or similar query languages
Demonstrate experience in handling projects with an ability to communicate risks and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
Be curious, and able to learn technical concepts and communicate them to a range of audiences
