The Network Program Manager is responsible for successful development and implementation of network build and/or expansion projects for UnitedHealthcare Community and State (C&S) line of business. This role is on UnitedHealth Networks (UHN) responsible for the C&S line of business. UnitedHealthcare Community & State provides health care products and services to states that care for the economically disadvantaged, the medically underserved and those without the benefit of employer-funded health care coverage.
The Network Program Managers primary responsibilities include but are not limited to performing network analysis of all networks, overseeing the day to day implementation of the network strategies, coordination of development approach with network contracting teams, tracking and monitoring network contract load activities through coordination with the network operations team, network required readiness activities, provider communication/education material development and overall readiness of the networks ready to see enrollees and able to be paid for services rendered. The Program Manager also contributes to the responses to state RFPs and application. These network projects support both new market entry and markets in which C&S has an existing presence.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead C&S network development projects to completion
Create project plans and timelines
Support network program director and other team leadership in accomplishment of overall objectives
Initiate coherent strategy for network development involving all network contract teams (e.g., UnitedHealth Networks, UnitedHealth Networks Essential Provider Team, Optum Behavioral Health, OptumRx, Optum Physical Health)
Lead network implementation meetings and ad hoc discussions
Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
Develop and manage activities using internal team tools and documentation
Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by audiences at all levels of the organization
Direct cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams
Escalate issues/risks and follows through to completion
Coordination of state deliverables which may include geo accessibility reports, post award and readiness review deliverables

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working with a managed care organization, health insurer, or consultant in a network management/contract management role, such as contracting, provider services, etc.
3+ years project management or project lead experience
Working knowledge of all physician/facility/ancillary contract reimbursement methodologies
Working knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot)
Proven ability to work independently including problem resolution, researching processes or market intel, and engaging internal teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME) for assistance
Proven ability to communicate complex or technical information at all levels
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in data analytics with a solid skill level in assessing data and a working knowledge of Excel
Proven excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with leadership at all levels
Proven solid relationship building skills
Proven attention to detail
Proven team player

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
