Our division takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai’s products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers.

Partner with the best

The Network Support Consultant diligently monitors the partner’s demands and capacity of the Akamai’s Network within APJ. We ensure that we are utilizing our resources to meet customer requirements. That includes keeping traffic flowing optimally and ensure value for our various Network Partners in the geography.

As a Network Support Consultant, you will be responsible for:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, Akamai’s Network Partners and ISPs to troubleshoot and resolve network and performance issues

Managing escalations from Service Performance, Network Account Managers, Network Operations and other groups

Collaborating with team members and network architects on traffic optimization to identify enhancements and improvements

Serving as Network Support Group point person for APJ, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Internet infrastructure

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree computer science or its equivalent

Experience of network protocols and implementations (DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL), routing protocol (BGP), and knowledge of application-level protocols

Experience supporting within an account management or customer success role in a technical environment

Be comfortable with working in a Linux/Unix environment and command line interfaces

Have an proactive approach in solving internal/external escalation and identify areas for innovation and improvement

Experience in Networking, Routing, and Infrastructure

Be fluent in English, and able to handle business level communications in Mandarin
