Job Summary
You would be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and operation of SWA Group’s network, servers, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing their duties without direct supervision and be capable of working both locally and remotely while maintaining team cohesion. They must be customer-focused, and a motivated self-starter who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills; both orally and in writing. Exceptional listening, questioning, and analytical skills are vital to success in this role.
Responsibilities
– Install, configure, test and maintain servers, NAS, and related networking equipment.
– Monitor scheduled backups and scheduled jobs for completeness, accuracy, and errors.
– Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN devices.
-Install firmware and security updates on servers, printers and related networking equipment.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
-Implement network security measures to protect the network.
-Configure and maintain Microsoft Active Directly and Group Policies.
-Purchase server, network and other computer equipment.
-Assists with software upgrades and installations.
-Create and maintains scripts for automation of common tasks.
-Provide technical support and assistance to operational staff and design staff as needed.
-Perform such other duties as may be required for the overall management of SWA Group.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 3-5 years of experience working in systems and network administration.
-Strong knowledge of network concepts and protocols.
-Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Hyper-V.
-Familiarity in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automating tasks.
-Knowledge with remote access software and VPNs for troubleshooting and support purposes.
-Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
