For one of our clients, we are looking for a Payroll Product Specialist, remotely from Belgium.
As a Payroll Product Specialist, you will be responsible for the successful execution of the build and configuration of payroll products, ensuring compliance with local tax legislation in new countries. You will collaborate closely with advisors, Payroll Business Analysts, and QA teams to define and implement country-specific requirements. Your role will involve translating legislative documents, configuring payroll elements, and conducting testing to ensure that all builds meet compliance standards. You will also ensure smooth project delivery, from design to post-deployment evaluations, while maintaining high quality and compliance throughout.
Accountabilities:
Research and analyze country-specific legislative regulations to ensure compliance with the appropriate Tax Authority.
Translate legislative documents from the official language of the build country to business English for clear understanding.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document build requirements and ensure payroll elements are correctly configured.
Lead the configuration and testing process to ensure that all product delivery aligns with country-specific compliance requirements.
Conduct post-deployment evaluations and provide ongoing support to maintain high compliance and quality standards.
Requirements
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll configuration, with deep knowledge of payroll payment items, codes, and country-specific legislative requirements.
Proven ability to configure formulas, categorize pay elements, and maintain statutory rates and tables.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate information from in-country advisors.
Demonstrated success in collaborating with Product, Quality Assurance, and Development teams.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including lookups, formulas, and advanced data manipulation.
Skilled in translating functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
