About The Job
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be part of global team working to maintain and enhance our Brightly Platform. Developer experience, automation, and “DevOps-as-a-Service” are the key indicators of success on top off resiliency, performance, and scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing (responsibilities)

Develop and implement scalable and secure containerized environments

Design and build integrated toolchains and workflows for CI/CD, security, and compliance

Integrate monitoring & track the performance of the OpenShift platform and applications

Proactively manage applications to address service failures before they escalate

Collaborate and partner with various stakeholders inside of Brightly

Automate application build and deployment processes

Create self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure for developers

Work closely with architecture, development, operations, and security teams

Provide technical input and support for projects and infrastructure

Ensure security measures are in place for applications and infrastructure

Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements

Assist in defining and maintaining SLAs

Document requirements and tasks

What you need (requirements)

Bachelor’s in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience

5 – 7 years or more of experience in platform engineering or a related field

Several years of experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus

Proficiency in container orchestration platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes

Experience with tools such as Tekton, Argo, GitHub, 3scale

Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Go, Bash, and/or JavaScript

Familiarity with infrastructure management tools like Terraform and Ansible

Strong analytical problem-solving skills including troubleshooting

Working knowledge of AWS

Experience in developing and managing containerized environments

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Willing to be on 24×7 on-call rotation and respond to production outages

Analytical organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with Istio, service mesh, Postgres, DataDog, and Kafka are a plus

$90,000– $135,000
. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location
