About the Role:
This role requires a lot of travel and working away from home on a 21-day on / 7-day off roster. You’ll most likely be working in rural areas across NSW and be required to work 10-12-hour days. You will receive a generous living away from home allowance whilst travelling along with working alongside an inclusive site team.
As most the locations will be rural, the majority of our team have their own caravans to sleep in as there is not usually any local accommodation around.
The ideal candidate will thoroughly enjoy working away in site teams or be based in regional NSW and be to commute to project sites.
The position will be assisting in the installation of Optic Fibre cables for the Telstra network on the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project.
What you’ll be doing:

Rod, Rope & Hauling – hauling multiple cables by hand & machinery, quality checks.

Civil activities – repair blockages, operate plant and equipment such as dozer, excavator, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes and HR trucks.

Labouring duties – cut and repair fences, undertake excavation using hand and mechanical methods.

What you’ll need:
Mandatory

Current driver’s licence

Current Construction White card

Having any of the following tickets is beneficial but not essential:

Current, HR Heavy Rigid truck license

Operator & VOC Excavator

Operator & VOC Dozer

Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling course

Current senior first aid certificate

Current level 2 traffic management implementation coarse

Work safety at heights.

Asbestos awareness certificate

High Risk License,

Vehicle loading crane.
