Primary Responsibilities:

Contribute to the creation and evolution of a consolidated strategic architecture roadmap

Define technical details of solutions that align with enterprise technology standards and support modernization agendas

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements to technical specifications and end-to-end architecture/design

Create architectural diagrams and documentation that aligns with enterprise standards

Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and policies as well as industry best practices

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams

Ensure solution designs are future-proof and accommodate transitional needs

Influence leadership on key technology strategy decisions and specific line of business plans

Review existing systems and ongoing engineering to ensure alignment with the strategic architecture

Communicate architectural concepts and patterns into clear, actionable engineering directions.

Explain complex topics to variety of audiences, technical and non-technical

Provide thought leadership when selecting tools and setting standards

Create and foster an environment of innovation, remove roadblocks, enable strategic risk-taking, and advocate for change management

Build productive cross-business relationships with both technical and business partners to deliver enterprise-level solutions that meet stakeholder requirements

Model the technical landscape to analyze the alignment of business capabilities with delivered technology and IT solutions

Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and development team architects

Communicate and coordinate with the Product Owner, Portfolio Architect Team, and Delivery Lead, providing technical leadership for the team

Perform system analysis, system design, technical design, and document the architectural blueprint for the system using standard tools

Ensure the creation of solution intent documentation in advance of agile planning sessions.

Prepare materials for Architectural Review Boards to demonstrate alignment with enterprise practices and roadmaps

Lead or drive complete architecture and design for multiple projects

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical discipline or equivalent professional work experience

12+ years of experience in the complete software development life-cycle

7+ years of experience in an architect or highly technical leadership role

Extensive hands-on software engineering experience

Demonstrated understanding and ability to design solutions based on modern cloud-native architectures (micro-service, streaming, etc.)

Experience working with one or more cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP

Experience in packaging and containerizing (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience in writing platform-level code in Java/JBOSS/Spring Boot, and other open-source frameworks

Experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, Design, and Design Patterns

Demonstrated expertise in delivering solution architecture designs in a complex, dynamic, highly-integrated enterprise environment

Experience in Agile methodologies, grooming Features and Stories, and working with Product Owners, Developers, and Enterprise Architects

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
