Job Title: Product Catalogue Manager
Location: Pune, India (Remote for ~6 months, then Onsite 5 Days/Week)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Flexible with 1–2 hours of U.S. time zone overlap
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Company
We’re a long-established U.S.-based company known for strong retention, a loyal team, and a culture rooted in long-term thinking, integrity, and growth. As we expand our operations into Pune, India, we’re seeking a Product Catalogue Manager to oversee and scale our product catalog operations — one of the most critical parts of our eCommerce and inventory-driven business.
This role is more than just operational — it’s strategic. You’ll start as an individual contributor and grow into a leadership role, helping shape both our catalog processes and the broader India office.
Role Overview
As the Product Catalogue Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and management of our growing eCommerce product catalog. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in the U.S., including pricing analysts and product researchers, while also preparing to build and manage a catalog operations team in India. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong (especially in Excel and SQL), and deeply comfortable with data, with experience in physical product listings across platforms like eBay, Amazon, Shopify, or similar.
If you have hardware or IT tech experience (e.g., servers, internal PC components), that’s a significant plus — our product line is deeply rooted in technology hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Initial Phase (Individual Contributor – Remote, First 6 Months):

Manage and maintain product catalog listings across multiple eCommerce platforms and internal systems

Develop and execute listing strategies, product categorization, and data hygiene practices

Research product specs and ensure all listing information (titles, descriptions, features, etc.) is accurate and optimized

Analyze competitor listings and pricing; collaborate with U.S. pricing analysts to refine strategies

Identify and fill data gaps and inconsistencies

Clean and maintain large datasets using Excel and SQL-based tools

Collaborate with U.S. and India-based stakeholders to align catalog operations with business needs

Growth Phase (Team Leadership – Onsite in Pune):

Lead and manage a growing product catalog team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance oversight

Support internal collaboration and resolve disputes within the team

Co-own catalog strategy across markets and platforms

Maintain quality standards as the team scales

Act as a key bridge between U.S. and India catalog operations

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleansing, automation techniques)

Proficiency in SQL and working with structured data

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Experience managing or developing product catalogs, ideally with physical goods

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity

Preferred:

Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, or managing catalogs on proprietary websites

Background or working knowledge in computer hardware, IT components, or server systems

Prior leadership experience or a desire to grow into a people management role

Experience working in or with distributed international teams

Who You Are

Data-driven and detail-obsessed — you love cleaning messy datasets and making sense of product information

Proactive and independent — able to self-manage and drive outcomes with minimal direction

Growth-minded — sees this role as a career move, not just a job

Clear communicator — able to work cross-functionally with U.S.-based teams and local hires

Technically curious — ideally, you’re someone who has built or sold tech hardware and has an affinity for the industry

Ready to lead — you’re excited by the challenge of growing and managing a team from scratch

Why Join Us?
This is a career-defining opportunity to build and lead a key function in our new India office. You’ll shape how our product catalog works, influence business strategy, and grow with a company that values loyalty, impact, and excellence.
We’re not hiring in India to cut costs — we’re building here because we believe in this region’s talent and want our India office to become a long-term core part of our company’s DNA.
