Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Product Director with expertise in conveyor systems and components to lead product management, vendor relations, and training initiatives. This role is responsible for driving product growth, managing inventory systems, and developing standardized processes across the organization. You will serve as the internal expert on vendor products, delivering training to teams, ensuring effective product positioning, and supporting large-scale projects with technical and strategic oversight. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive industry experience to build and maintain vendor relationships, execute cost-reduction strategies, and implement lifecycle management for existing and new products.
This is a non-exempt, salary position reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing. This is a REMOTE position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vendor and Product Expertise
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on all vendor products, providing training to internal teams on product use, value propositions, and customer communication.
Identify market gaps and collaborate with vendors to develop innovative product solutions.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance through a Vendor Scorecard program.
Training and Development
Design and implement training programs focused on product differentiation, value propositions, and identifying customer pain points.
Develop training materials and tools to support internal sales and service teams.
Conduct site visits and collaborate with regional teams to provide hands-on training and support.
Product and Inventory Management
Manage the product lifecycle, including the introduction, positioning, and phase-out of products.
Create and maintain systems for inventory control, including Min/Max thresholds and forecasting spreadsheets.
Monitor product performance metrics such as volume, profitability, and market share.
Market Analysis and Strategy
Conduct market intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive gaps.
Develop and execute strategies for product positioning and marketing communications in collaboration with the marketing team.
Support international growth initiatives for RAM and IMTECH products and services.
Technical Support and Project Management
Provide engineering support, including belt calculations and site surveys.
Assist sales teams with large-scale projects, including field measurements, vendor RFQs, and ongoing project management.
Standardize site survey processes and documentation.
Procurement and Cost Optimization:
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and optimize vendor relationships.
Champion cost-reduction initiatives and manage product mix to prevent margin erosion.
Address and resolve vendor disputes and quality issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent in-field experience.
15+ years of experience in bulk handling, mining, or conveyor components industries.
Expertise in conveyor systems and product lifecycle management.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Excel, CRM, and other relevant tools.
Ability to travel up to 50-60%, including international travel.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
Self-driven with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Expectations:
Travel to each RAM facility at least once throughout the year, coordinating with the Regional Director for product training, site visits and joint calls with sales and service teams.
Develop and maintain a Vendor Score Card program
Develop and maintain a Min/Max inventory program for vendor products
Develop criteria and communicate quality expectations for belt, sheet rubber and other vendors
Develop process for reviewing and communicating vendor quality and performance issues
Identify and implement necessary software to assist with job functions
Create and implement a standardized Site Survey
Create a multi-level training program for sales and service personnel on conveyor belt, systems and components
