Uptime.com, a leader in website monitoring solutions, is seeking an innovative and data-driven Growth Engineer to join our dynamic team. We’re looking for a creative thinker who is passionate about growth, software engineering, and data analytics.

Job Overview:

As a Growth Engineer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our brand and customer base through technical and marketing expertise. You will be at the intersection of engineering and marketing, employing a methodological and systematic approach to growth. Your role involves brainstorming, defining, and carrying out growth experiments, optimizing product features, and building internal tools to enhance user experiences and conversions.

**Responsibilities:**

– Develop and manage software, processes, and content to drive growth.

– Implement user acquisition strategies through SEO/PPC.

– Conduct conversion optimization through A/B testing and onboarding processes.

– Contribute to product improvements and build internal tooling to support growth.

– Engage in frontend and backend development related to growth initiatives.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and product managers.

– Analyze and interpret data to inform growth strategies.

– Prioritize and experiment with ideas using frameworks like RICE.

Requirements

– Proven experience in frontend and backend development.

– Strong understanding of business KPIs and growth metrics.

– Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical and product-related concepts clearly.

– Pragmatic thinker with the ability to make tactical decisions.

– Proficient in analytics software and methodologies (e.g., R, Python, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, SciPy).

– Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

– Familiarity with REST APIs and basic database management.

– Mid-level experience in data analysis and query analysis.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

– Comfortable with rapid experimentation and iteration.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

– Prior experience as a full-stack engineer, preferably in a SaaS environment.

– Experience with GitHub, open-source tooling, and general scripting.

– Knowledge of marketing basics and growth hacking methodologies.
