Job Title: Quality Improvement Specialist / Health Educator (Remote)
Location: Fully Remote (Candidates must reside in Kentucky) Temp to Perm: Starting at $32.00+ per hour
Work Schedule:

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST or CST

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST or CST

Overview:
The Quality Improvement function within a Managed Care Organization (MCO) is essential in enhancing healthcare outcomes by overseeing, planning, and implementing new and existing quality improvement initiatives and education programs. This role ensures that quality standards are maintained across member programs and is responsible for data collection, reporting, and monitoring key performance measures. The primary focus is on executing quality strategies aimed at the initiation and management of member interventions, particularly in addressing HEDIS gaps in care.
Key Responsibilities:

Member Engagement: Make calls to members and parents to support the closure of HEDIS gaps in care, with a primary focus on childhood immunizations.

Quality Improvement: Implement and manage healthcare quality improvement initiatives aligned with prescribed quality standards.

Data Management: Conduct data collection, reporting, and monitoring for key performance measurement activities.

Member Education: Oversee and execute education programs designed to improve healthcare outcomes for members.

Adaptability: Respond effectively to a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities.

Collaboration: Work closely with the MCO team to ensure seamless access to necessary systems and resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Clinical Background: Must have a clinical background relevant to healthcare.

Telephonic Customer Service: Strong skills in telephonic customer service, especially in communicating with members and parents.

Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.

Remote Work Experience: Proven experience working remotely with effective time management skills.

Residency: Must reside in Kentucky.

Preferred Qualifications:

Managed Care Experience: Familiarity with managed care systems and processes.

HEDIS Experience: Previous experience with HEDIS measures and quality initiatives is highly preferred.

Medical Assistant

Nurse

Degree from a School of Public Health

Health Educator or similar qualifications

Required Experience:

Minimum 1 Year: Experience in healthcare or a clinical setting.
