On behalf of our client, a PQS Consultancy, we are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a project overseeing a high-profile civils contract in Australia. The client is tasked with auditing the contractor responsible for delivering the works, ensuring compliance with the contract, and safeguarding the client’s interests.
The position is on a 12 month contract basis with potential for extension. As the project is based in Australia, the successful candidate will need to work within Australian working hours. This position is fully remote. The role requires an experienced individual with strong expertise in contract management, dispute resolution, and defending the scope of works. Key Responsibilities:

Audit contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and the agreed scope of works.

Manage and resolve disputes related to the contract, defending the consultancy’s position effectively.

Actively represent the company in protecting and upholding the integrity of the scope of works.

Draft and present clear, persuasive documentation to defend the agreement and ensure alignment with the end client’s expectations.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

Maintain accurate administrative records, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the auditing process.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in contract management, auditing, and dispute resolution, preferably within a PQS environment.

Strong understanding of construction and professional services contracts, with the ability to interpret and defend complex agreements.

Exceptional written communication and administrative skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Availability to work Australian business hours (5:00 AM – 2:00 PM). – With some flexibility

Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
