JOB OVERVIEW
Location: Remote (Must be available to work between 8am – 6pm EST)
About Us:
The Men With Tools Windows & Doors is a leading window and door replacement company operating in NY and NJ. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier products and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced, upbeat, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our remote team.
Key Responsibilities:
– QuickBooks Management: Extensive use of QuickBooks for daily bookkeeping tasks.
– Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
– Managing Accounts Receivable: Handle the processing and monitoring of incoming payments.
– Daily Ledger Management: Maintain accurate daily financial records.
– Monthly P&L Reports: Prepare and present monthly profit and loss statements.
– Job Costing: Oversee the job costing process, ensuring accurate matching of labor and material costs.
– Payroll Management: Handle payroll processing, including bonuses, sales commissions, and salaries.
– State Tax Law Compliance: Ensure compliance with NY & NJ state tax laws.
– Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to current bookkeeping and payroll processes.
– Reporting: Directly report to the Owner/CEO.
Requirements:
– 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and payroll management.
– Knowledge of NY & NJ state tax laws.
– Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
– Must be available for an 8-hour shift within the hours of 8am – 6pm EST.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
– Positive attitude with the ability to stay motivated and maintain high energy.
– A strong focus on achieving results and meeting goals.
– Familiarity with integrating and improving bookkeeping and payroll processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Direct experience in the home improvement/home remodeling industry.
– Proven track record of implementing efficient bookkeeping and payroll processes.
