Full-time Remote Case Manager (Legal)
About the Position
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-time Remote Case Manager to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in case management, document management, and compliance within the legal industry. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing complex legal cases and ensuring smooth operations for our firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of legal cases from inception to resolution
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression
Maintain and organize case files, documents, and records using advanced document management systems
Monitor case deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure compliance with legal procedures
Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Conduct initial case assessments and develop case strategies in collaboration with legal teams
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case status and addressing inquiries
Coordinate with external parties, including opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
Manage case budgets and track billable hours
Ensure compliance with firm policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Implement and maintain case management software and systems
Generate reports on case progress, outcomes, and key performance indicators
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in case management procedures
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members on case management best practices
Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
3-10 years of experience in legal case management or a similar role
Proficiency in case management software and document management systems
Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Superior attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
Paralegal certification or relevant legal certifications
Experience with e-discovery platforms and legal research tools
Familiarity with project management methodologies
Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
