Today we are looking for (5) five experienced Electrical Studies Engineers with 5+ to 10+ years of power delivery industry experience. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about power systems analysis, protective relaying, and delivering client-focused engineering solutions. You’ll be part of a dynamic team supporting utility, industrial, and commercial clients across both conventional and renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute electrical studies and protective relay settings projects.
Analyze systems including generation facilities, substations, and transmission/distribution networks.
Maintain and enhance client relationships through technical excellence and proactive communication.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposal development and business growth.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Technical Focus Areas
You will work in one or more of the following disciplines:
1. Design Studies
Substation grounding, EMF, insulation coordination, transient simulation, power quality, motor starting, AC interference.
Tools: CDEGS, WinIGS, ATP-EMTP, PSCAD.
2. Protective Relaying
Short circuit analysis, coordination, relay settings, SCADA integration, NERC compliance, arc flash.
Tools: SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista, ASPEN Oneliner, CAPE, SKM-PTW, ETAP, RSCAD/RTDS.
3. Power System Planning
Load flow, contingency analysis, interconnection studies, voltage stability, dynamic performance, NERC compliance.
Tools: PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, Python scripting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
Minimum 5 years of relevant power industry experience (10+ years preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced coursework or training in protective relaying, power system transients, or electromagnetics.
Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) license.
Proficiency in multiple technical disciplines and associated software tools.
Proven experience in customer-facing engineering projects.
Additional Information
Occasional travel may be required.
