Remote Freelance Transcriber (English – United Kingdom)

Work Location: Remote/Work-from-home (United Kingdom)

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule of approx. 20 hours per week

Engagement Model: Freelance/Independent contractor

Project Duration: approx. 6 weeks

DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for candidates with idiomatic fluency in English to join our team of Freelance Transcribers. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative transcription project!

Role Summary

As a Transcriber, you will:

Transcribe English conversations between clinical study participants according to requirements outlined in the project guidelines

Segment the speech to identify different speaker turn

Redact any personally identifiable information (PII)

Annotate non-speech events (e.g., background noise)

Please note: You must pass a transcription test (in English) before qualifying for the role. Also, any transcriptions that do not meet our project quality requirements will be returned to the Transcriber for unpaid rework.

Idiomatic fluency in English

A minimum of 1-year experience in transcription projects

Minimum weekly availability of 15-20 hours

Medical training/background is a plus

Available to start by 18th April 2023

Good typing speed and strong attention to detail

Excellent time management skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to understand and implement feedback
