Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Software Architect to join a fast-growing organization based in Chantilly, VA. The Software Architect will lead the development, maintenance, and testing of microservices built on the MEAN stack. This position will be primarily REMOTE, with a requirement for local candidates who can travel onsite as needed.
Responsibilities of the Software Architect:
Make architectural decisions including selections of libraries, frameworks, cloud platforms, and 3rd party services to leverage
Design and develop internal frameworks for the development team to leverage
Design, develop, maintain, test, and document high quality software
Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to the team
Prepare releases and aide the CloudOps team in DevOps infrastructure
Qualifications of the Software Architect:
10+ years of experience designing and developing web-based solutions
Experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, and Node)
Experience developing RESTful webservices
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience building solutions on AWS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, etc.)
Compensation for the Software Architect:
Salary: $165,000-185,000/year **flexible based on experience**
