The Renewable Energy – Head of Interconnection – Remote will lead the strategic planning and manage the interconnection process for utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and battery storage) from early stage development through construction and operations.
The Renewable Energy – Head of Interconnection – Remote will:
Support project development & origination using analytical tools and methods to determine optimum interconnection strategy identifying key risks and opportunities
Lead all aspects of interconnection process with ISO/RTO including schedule, milestones, and deliverables
Anticipate cost and schedule risks, working with Management on solutions to mitigate risks and accelerate schedule when possible
Coordinate multi-disciplinary team for generation interconnection technical studies and submissions to utilities, engaging consultants as appropriate to anticipate, validate, and influence study results
Assist Commercial team in congestion and curtailment analysis
Ensure all projects, greenfield and acquired, comply with all regulatory requirements for interconnection, including local, state, and federal permitting
Stay updated on changes in grid standards and interconnection policies, identifying risks that could impact project compliance, schedule, or costs, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate such risks
Track and report on key project interconnection performance metrics, including time-lines, cost, and compliance, while sharing insights with Management to inform future strategy

The right right candidate will have:
10 years of experience in interconnection/transmission for the US Power Markets.
At least 5 years working at an Independent Power Producer (IPP).
Ideally someone with Wind project experience.
A strong background in Electrical Engineering, but with strong development focused experience.
Familiarity with transmission markets in WECC, and at least another market from SPP, NYISO, PJM, and/or ERCOT.
Proven experience in managing interconnection processes for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
A global leading Renewable Energy focused Private Equity focused on acquiring large, utility-scale projects and portfolios across the Americas.
For the right Renewable Energy – Head of Interconnection – Remote there will be:
Base salary up to $250k – Depending on experience.
Annual bonus – 30%
