Our client is a leading technology provider in the CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) space and is seeking a R&D Engineer to help shape the future of connectivity. This role is ideal for a curious and innovative professional passionate about emerging technologies in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Research and evaluate emerging technologies in telecommunications and AI, analyzing their impact on infrastructure, security, and user experience.
Prototype and test software solutions with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and real-world applicability.
Conduct hands-on security investigations, including basic penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
Apply knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) to troubleshoot and design next-gen telecom solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform R&D outcomes into production-ready features and document findings for broader technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Proven experience in software development using languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing protocols, and firewall configuration.
Hands-on experience in security testing, including penetration testing, threat modeling, or vulnerability analysis.
Demonstrated passion for technology exploration and a strong appetite for learning.
Critical thinking, creativity, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Nice to Have
Previous exposure to telecom protocols or experience working in the telecommunications sector.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with network analysis tools like Wireshark, TCPDump, or similar.
Understanding of DevOps practices or automation tools used for scalable deployments.
Personal or professional experience building side projects, labs, or experimental prototypes.
