SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER – Lodge Builders Botswana

EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Incumbent needs to have a Degree in Safety & Health Management, Environmental Health Degree or equivalent;

To have at least 5 years of experience in a construction environment;

Should be computer literate;

Must be able to work in remote areas for given periods of time;

Must be aware of all work safety-related issues;

Working knowledge and understanding of all environment-related legislation;

Must have strong organizational and leadership skills;

Strong, analytical and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, develop and control the environmental management at the various company operations;

Liaise with relevant role players/stakeholders/local environmental forums;

Manage enviro-legal processes required for new and existing projects;

Ensuring compliance with SHEQ policies and standards;

Reducing pollutants and environmental risks;

Project managing environmental management systems;

Conducting investigationsand inspections;

Enforcement of Acts & Regulations of Safety & Environment.
