Job Description:
CiC/Street Child is inviting applications for the role of Security Guard (based in Kabul) who shall be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of office premises, staff, and assets. The incumbent shall be responsible for monitoring access control, conducting security checks, responding to emergencies, enforcing security protocols, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to maintain a secure working environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.

Stay vigilant of suspicious activities throughout the shift.

Do not allow anyone carrying arms to enter the office.

Check all visitors upon entering the compound.

Try and resist any attempts (forceful or otherwise) by unauthorized personnel trying to enter the CiC/ SC office.

Maintain continuous surveillance of your post throughout your period of duty, by foot patrol.

Try and resist, without putting personal life at risk, any attempts (forceful or otherwise) of entering the CIC office by unauthorized personnel.

Be aware of Fire Drills and locations of fire extinguishers.

Check and register visitors coming to the compound as described in the guideline.

Should have a strong sense of understanding about human factor and duties assigned to him.

Look out for signs of unauthorized intruders or suspicious persons, objects, etc.

Being able to maintain the security SoPs of the organization.

Deep cleaning of lavatories and bathrooms.

Washing of carpets, deep cleaning of carpeted areas, and polishing of tiled areas.

Washing of walls and ceilings made of washable materials (laminated or painted with washable paints).

Ensure food utilities (tea, toffee) are available in the stock and Report to admin in case anything lacking.

Cleaning, waxing, and polishing of all furniture, fixtures, floors walls, windows, vertical and horizontal areas, and ceiling.

Damp wipe top of partitions, doors, walls, skirting boards & wiring trunks.

Thorough mopping of floors with disinfectant (special attention paid to corners & edges).

Proper trash disposal including emptying of ashtrays at smoking areas, waste baskets & other receptacles. Wash and disinfect garbage bins, and ensure that the bins are left upside down to dry.

Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of dining areas including washing of kitchen towels and doormats (in office areas cleaning of dining areas must take place at least 3 times daily).

Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting lavatories and bathrooms including washing of doormats and bathroom floorings.

Make sure mosquito sprays are sprayed on a need basis in the compound.

Any other task or responsibility assigned by the line manager

School graduation certificate

4-5 years experience in security guard international organization preferred

Fluency in speaking both languages Dari and Pashto

Alertness, a great security officer is always alert and focused on their surroundings

Behavioral competencies:

Having good treatment with the team and their surroundings

Empowering and building trust

Communicating with impact and respect
