Key responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate management of accounting records, and providing administrative and relational support to suppliers, clients, subsidies, and banks.
Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

Entry of purchases, sales, financials, and adjustments.

Monitoring payments and goods/services delivered.

Preparing monthly and annual closing entries based on input from the operational team, under the supervision of the financial manager.

Filing VAT returns.

Reconciliation and analysis of accounts.

Updating cash flow dashboards and financial tracking under the supervision of the financial manager.

Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports: budgets and actuals, under the supervision of the financial manager.

Client Relations:

Communicating with clients and suppliers in case of payment issues or mismatches, and resolving discrepancies from A to Z.

Reviewing and correcting sales invoices as needed (automatically generated), monitoring payments, following up on overdue payments, and managing reminder and recovery procedures.

Supplier Relations:

Ensuring payments and goods/services are delivered.

Documenting supplier records: contacts, negotiated terms, discounts, etc.

Addressing invoice issues where purchase orders (PO) are not identified and coordinating with internal colleagues to resolve discrepancies.

Subsidy and Banking Relations:

Managing subsidy and financing applications and follow-ups.

Salary range: Rs. 65k – Rs. 75k.

Candidate Selection Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree or BTS in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and administration, preferably in a French company in a similar position.

Excellent command of written and spoken French.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong IT skills, especially in accounting software, Excel, and related tools.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Autonomy and initiative.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Well-organized and rigorous.

Work condition:

Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.

No operations on public holidays in Mauritius.

Up to 2 days of remote work per week after 6 months of on-site work.

3-month probation period.
