How you’ll make an impact
The Senior Accountant role plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
They help drive financial efficiency, accuracy and compliance across the business.
What you’ll do
A confident individual contributor, you’ll support the smooth operating of the finance team by:
Creating the invoices for some of our largest and most important customers
Reviewing revenue, to ensure all work completed by our workers has been invoiced
Creating credit notes when required
Assisting with month end completion and reporting, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting the accounts receivable process by providing required information to account managers
Updating financial and cash flow forecast models
Maintaining and continuously optimising Sidekicker’s finance processes
Ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by the Head of Finance
Ensure effective communication within the business unit and with the rest of the business
About you
Critical Competencies
Must be able to work accurately and to set reporting deadlines.
Advanced Excel skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to foster long-standing business relationships
Ability to multitask, prioritise and delegate responsibilities
Thorough technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
Experience
Must be a suitably qualified Accountant with strong current Technical Knowledge.
3+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience in the delivery of the core accounting functions and governance frameworks
Experience working with an Australian Business preferrable
Technology industry experiences a distinct advantage
