Senior Clinical Research Budget Analyst (Remote)
The Senior Clinical Research Budget Analyst supports federally, state, commercially, and privately funded research projects by managing research award budgets during both pre-award and post-award phases. This role involves negotiating and optimizing study budgets and payment terms, ensuring accurate financial management in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), and maintaining compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Development: Review clinical research protocols to create comprehensive budgets. Work with research teams, principal investigators, and finance to ensure accurate, timely, and feasible budgets that meet SLA standards.
Budget Negotiation: Directly negotiate budgets and payment terms with sponsors and funding sources, keeping all stakeholders informed.
Billing Issues: Collaborate with Clinical Trials Office, Research Finance, and Patient Financial Services to resolve research-related billing issues.
Revenue Management: Maintain accurate financial information in CTMS, ensuring proper reimbursement, cost center use, and contract amendments for compliance.
Special Projects: Handle assigned department projects and ensure alignment with departmental goals.
Informed Consent: Partner with the coverage analysis team to ensure patient costs are captured accurately in informed consent documents.
Quality and Productivity: Adhere to established auditing and productivity standards, participating in audit resolution when necessary.
Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor new and existing team members as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $68,000 to $80,000, with a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time, permanent position, Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
