Senior Cloud Platforms Engineer – Riyadh or Remote, Full Time
NOTE: IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST BE WILLING TO WORK THE KSA WORKING WEEK, WHICH IS FROM SUNDAY – THURSDAY AT TIME ZONE GMT -3.
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Cloud Platforms Engineer to join our client’s Cloud Engineering team, based either in Riyadh, KSA or Remote within a suitable time zone.
In this critical role, you will drive the design, development, and operation of our internal cloud platform. This role is central to delivering a robust, scalable, and developer-centric infrastructure that powers a diverse suite of microservices and cloud-native applications.
Responsibilities:

Architect, build, and manage internal cloud platform services leveraging Kubernetes (e.g., GKE, OKE) on GCP, OCI, or similar.

Operate reliable and observable infrastructure systems including CI/CD pipelines, service meshes, and automated deployment frameworks.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, or equivalents.

Oversee the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters including upgrades, tuning, and patch management.

Build reusable templates and automation workflows (e.g., GitOps) to support consistent microservices deployment.

Deploy and maintain observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) to ensure system health and reliability.

Create and maintain self-service platforms, CLIs, and APIs for provisioning infrastructure, managing secrets, and automating deployments.

Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance developer productivity.

Advocate platform adoption through documentation, training sessions, and hands-on enablement.

Implement secure-by-default infrastructure practices including IAM policies, network segmentation, and pod security standards.

Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.

Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container-based architectures.

Proficient with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Helm, and GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD or Flux.

Solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux administration, and service discovery.

Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Fluent Bit).

Scripting experience in languages such as Go, Python, or Bash.

Familiarity with developer experience tooling and internal platform development is a strong advantage.

Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, OCI, AWS).

Knowledge of Kubernetes policy enforcement tools (e.g., OPA/Gatekeeper).

Exposure to cloud-native data services such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
