This position is full-time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST (consistent shift). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform backend administrative support for the various Optum “Payment Solutions” utilized by service providers/clients.

Respond to emails, phone calls, and faxes as needed to payees, providers, internal departments, and the Executive Team (as needed)

Initiate emails, phone calls, and faxes as needed to payee’s providers, internal departments, and the Executive Team (as needed)

Successfully process inquiries in accordance with policies, practices, and standards

Research and resolve failed provider secure faxed payment/document attempts; also update database and results achieved/disposition reporting.

Recognize and act on opportunities to make soft retention effort to maintain or convert providers (payees) and payment/billing administrators to electronic virtual credit cards.

Enter high volume of payment and database maintenance transactions received through multiple channels (e-mail, internal systems, phone, fax, etc.)

Effectively navigate various computer platforms, web-based programs, and internet with a keen attention to detail

Must adhere to industry HIPAA and PCI compliance requirements, in addition to company policies, code of conduct and code of ethics.

Must be a contributing member of the team whether it is administrative duties, reports, special projects, performing core functions or supporting ancillary department demand as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED and/or equivalent work experience

Must be 18 years or older

6+ months experience with Vpay

Prior knowledge of the Payment Services Support Operations and/or the Provider Payment Relations Team and their processes

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Previous experience working in a contact center environment.

Previous experience working with department and team KPIs.

Ability to work full-time between 7:00am – 7:00pm CST (consistent shift)

Telecommuting Requirements:

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
