Job Description
Job Summary:

Technical Expertise: Provide expert leadership in overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of structural elements on the construction site. Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and materials. Ensure that structural engineering aspects align with project specifications, design drawings, and relevant codes and standards.

Construction Supervision: Provide on-site supervision during the construction phase, ensuring that structural elements are built according to the approved designs and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and maintain documentation of construction progress.

Project Management: Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural components within the overall project design.

Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering professional growth and technical expertise within the team.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Responsibilties:

Under general supervision, performs routine duties.

Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.

Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.

Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.

Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.

May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Minimum requirements:
Minimum of 15 years experience
Prior experience in Qatar would be advantageous
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural Engineering
