Background to the Role
As the company prepares to establish a new fund structure in Ireland, they have engaged us exclusively to find a Senior Fund Administrator. This is the company’s first hire in Ireland, and the role will be fully remote, allowing the candidate to work from anywhere in the country.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have between 4-8 years of experience in fund administration and operations in Ireland. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from fund administration and accounting to compliance and investor relations. While the primary focus will be on administration and accounting, there is room for growth in compliance and investor relations, which can be learned on the job.
Our client seeks an independent professional who can manage day-to-day operations while contributing to the overall success of the fund.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Fund Administration and Accounting:

Manage the daily operations of fund administration service providers in Ireland, ensuring high standards of service.

Collaborate with legal, banking, and service provider teams to streamline transactions.

Oversee cash management, including payment processing and maintaining optimal liquidity through accurate cash flow oversight.

Perform quarterly reconciliations and work with accounting and tax teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Transfer Agency:

Handle capital calls and distributions, ensuring accuracy in investor data and prompt responses to investor queries.

Financial Reporting:

Support the audit process and assist in preparing quarterly investor reports that highlight fund performance.

Compliance and AML:

Assist with AML documentation and work closely with the compliance team to maintain regulatory standards.

Requirements

4-8 years of experience in fund administration, accounting, or operations.

Private equity experience is essential.

Strong organizational skills, the ability to work both independently and within a team.
