You’ll need a deep understanding of building applications that are truly exceptional. With your quality-minded approach and expertise in architecting high-scale apps, you’ll be able to build applications, products and services that push the limits of what’s possible
About the role
As our first-ever Senior iOS Developer your goal is to create & maintain a 5-star mobile app experience for our millions of users to generate the highest possible engagement and conversions.
About us Car & Classic is one of the largest automotive marketplaces in the world. We’re lucky to have thousands of user-generated listings submitted monthly with content gems from James Bond’s Aston DB5 to Elvis Presley’s Cadillac. The site is old, launched in 2005 but under new, VC-backed ownership since 2018 and on an exciting triple-digit growth journey to bring classic vehicle transactions online.

We’re looking for a Senior iOS Developer who has good, relevant experience and wants to make their mark in a rapid growth business where they can make a real difference, whilst enjoying the environment and culture.

Role and responsibilities:
Lead the development and delivery of an iOS Swift application ensuring it meets the specified timelines and quality standards.
Architect and maintain a scalable and efficient codebase for the iOS app, ensuring flexibility for future updates and enhancements.
Strive for excellence in user satisfaction by aiming for a 4.5+ rating on the AppStore, based on feedback from hundreds of reviewers.
Implement iterations to drive a 10% higher conversion rate on the mobile app compared to the website, contributing to increased user engagement and business success.
Work towards achieving and maintaining key performance indicators, including higher Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Conversion Rate (CR%), and Monthly Active Users (MAU), while ensuring a consistently high review score on the AppStore.
