Job Overview:
The Senior NDT Tech completes a variety of inspection assignments as needed and can complete work with a limited degree of supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less inspection experience. The Senior NDT Tech has developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team.
Senior NDT tech shall have ISO scheme certification in PAUT, TOFD, UT and MT methods and 5 years plus post certification experience.
Responsibilities:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by any one of the following methods and qualifications (i.e., UT, PT, MT, RT, PAUT & ET) in accordance with a written Project NDT Plan, NDT procedures, code, and contractual specification

Execute the examination in accordance with approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes/specs

Determine acceptance/rejection based on the defined criteria

Liaise with the assigned Quality Inspector to determine the completion of assigned tasks

Report conforming work and identify non-conforming work for rectification

Ensure rectified work is inspected by the QC Inspector before examination by the original NDT method

Perform duties ethically and safely in accordance with the professional occupation guidelines

Assess examination results accurately, sentencing welds and reporting same, according to the relevant code/spec acceptance criteria

Ensure proper maintenance of NDT equipment and maintain equipment certification records

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern

Work independently but also with remote teams of NDT personnel

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment if necessary

Complete inspecting duties, organize and generate reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation

Prepare reports on all testing and evaluations done

Ensure that the equipment used for testing is functioning to its maximum and according to safety regulations

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally

Enforce and abide by the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and safe work practices

Mentor and train coworkers as assigned through on-the-job training in safe work practices, technical skills, and compliance with company policy

Prepare NDT reports on software by using a computer

Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications and Education:

High School Diploma or Degree

5+ years as NDT inspector in relevant method

Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs

ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II qualification

Be occupationally qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency (i.e., PCN, CSWIP, ASNT, etc.) requirement

Hands-on experience with the most current digital equipment
