As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer specialising in Marine and Coastal Projects, you will lead and contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of geotechnical solutions for a diverse range of coastal and marine infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the stability, durability, and sustainability of structures in challenging marine environments
Ideally, suitable candidates will have an excellent understanding of geotechnics and related disciplines. They will be comfortable in leading and managing design teams on technically challenging projects and will be able to identify and deliver value engineering solutions to our clients. They will be capable of delivering high-quality engineering solutions that exceed client expectations, within budget and program. The ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory authorities and project stakeholders is crucial. This is a senior position in which you will be expected to participate in business unit management, business development and strategy development on an on-going basis.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the management of projects within time, budget constraints and to the highest technical standards.

Management of the day-to-day project work of the Bahrain office engineering resources.

Champions and promotes professional advice, guidance and support across the business unit

Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development

Monitors and manages compliance with our Quality Management Systems and Business Unit KPI’s

Business development including the pricing, preparation of project pre-qualifications, registrations and tender submissions.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

8-10 years’ post-graduate experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering

Registered/Chartered Engineer or equivalent, or working towards same in Geotechnical Engineering, or associated discipline

Design engineering experienced and able to demonstrate exceptional analytical and Technical competencies

Experience of working within a design consultancy on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients

Experience of leading design teams and managing project financials, budgets and delivery

Knowledge of structural and infrastructure engineering is desirable, together with an ability to interface with other disciplines

Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions

Experience of temporary works design, retaining wall design, foundation design, ground improvement, slope stability.

Ability to deliver comprehensive design packages to meet our clients’ needs is essential.

Has proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to geotechnical works and proven ability to use relevant software

Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills

Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectations

Management experience including experience of management systems for quality, financial and project controls

Knowledge of relevant design codes of practice

Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations

Represent and promote Ayesa in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients

Is committed to Continued Professional Development

Knowledge of the Arabic language is an advantage

Knowledge of local legislation and its application a benefit.

Fluent in Written and spoken English.

Flexibility to travel throughout GCC Region as required for projects
