Positions in this job family are responsible for regulatory compliance process and audits. This function would include regulatory filing costs, cost associated with the DOI (Dept of Insurance), insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct state – specific contractual, regulatory research
Participates in the development of business strategy
Monitor changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
Provide training, communications, and education
Support the collection of data for Utilization Review and other regulatory filings
Ensure proper reporting and response to state stakeholders
Conduct auditing and monitoring, to ensure compliance
Provide support for external regulatory audits
Solves problems and develops innovative solutions
Performs conceptual analyses
Monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State & Federal laws, regulations, and mandates
Follow standard policies, procedures, processes, and best practices across UHG to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
Conduct state-specific legal research and monitor changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a legal, regulatory or compliance role in healthcare or managed care
3+ years of experience working in a government, healthcare, managed care or health insurance environment
Intermediate or better proficiency using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written & verbal English
Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Proven ability to stay organized and practice effective time management skills
Proven ability to work effectively and congenially with employees at all levels
Proven objective, collaborative approach; relationship builder who strives to build partnerships

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
