For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist – APAC, remotely from Worldwide.
In this role, you will be responsible for navigating the regulatory landscape of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region as it pertains to the crypto-asset industry. You will develop and execute regulatory strategies, advocate for policy changes, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to the business. Your expertise in the APAC regulatory environment will help ensure compliance with local and global standards, and you will play a key role in obtaining necessary licenses. Collaborating with internal teams and regulatory authorities, you will shape the future of crypto-asset services while promoting innovation and safety.
Accountabilities:
Develop and execute regulatory strategies for the APAC region, identifying key markets to operate within.
Advocate for policies that support innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Analyze local regulatory proposals and provide guidance on potential risks and opportunities.
Manage the process of obtaining regulatory approvals and licenses for new markets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, finance) to ensure regulatory alignment and address emerging challenges.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of regulatory experience within the financial services or crypto-asset industry.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the APAC region, with the ability to apply this knowledge strategically.
Proven ability to prepare regulatory analysis and engage with regulatory authorities, including response submissions.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with public speaking experience.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
University degree and fluent in English.
