Job Overview
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Safari Consultant to lead front-end sales operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring exceptional safari experiences for clients.
Key Responsibilities
SOP’s and Reservations Systems Management:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of all systems used by the Safari Consultant team.
Manage reservations, amendments, and troubleshooting.
Enforce standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for booking protocols.
Oversee team structure and optimize service levels.
Business Development:
Lead front-end sales to execute outstanding safari itineraries.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with lodges, DMCs, and other suppliers.
Close all trip files promptly and negotiate STO and DMC rates.
Systems:
Actively contribute to the entire reservations system and process.
Maintain daily updates in reservations status spreadsheets.
Customer Service:
Ensure high customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
Maintain communication with customers throughout their travel journey.
Planning Itineraries:
Ensure accuracy of all collateral and itineraries sent to guests.
Create impactful proposals and costing for comprehensive safari experiences.
Coordinate logistics including accommodations, flights, transfers, and activities.
General Business Support:
Provide administrative support to the company and General Manager.
Manage logistics and business administration related to safari sales processes.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 10 years working in the hospitality/travel industry, with consulting experience preferred.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, adept at working with clients and teams.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and online agent portals.
Strategic thinker with practical problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
Passionate about sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Fluent in English with professional email writing skills.
Available for phone duty coverage on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
