As a Senior SDET II Lead in Akamai’s Cloud Platform team, you’ll ensure quality in complex systems, build automation frameworks for microservice deployments, and contribute to impactful cloud projects with innovation and technical excellence.
As a Senior SDET II Lead, you will be responsible for:
Building highly available, scalable and distributed cloud systems
Building frameworks to automate deployment and configuration of microservices
Leading initiatives to develop distributed, observable and responsive change management
Having experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Github Actions, SaltStack or Pulumi
Demonstrating excellence in coding in Python and automation through scripting
Having experience in Linux system administration (specifically, server administration, networking, system internals, and package management)
Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis

To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in leading and managing small teams
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IT or related field and 10+ years’ relevant experience
Have a good understanding of systems programming (GNU/Linux) and networking concepts
Be proficient in Python, Go, C, or C++, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Have exposure in network fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
Have working experience with containers, infrastructure-as-code, and related technologies
