Description:
We aim to fill this role with a Shopify Developer tasked with supporting our client and internal projects. The role involves rolling out new functionalities to staging and production environments while utilizing a standardized technological framework. We’re looking for a dynamic individual who demonstrates continuous growth in Shopify front-end and back-end development and is eager to further their expertise in the field.
Responsibilities include executing assigned tasks related to feature deployment, providing time estimates for these tasks, and ensuring timely completion within set deadlines. While you’ll enjoy autonomy in implementation, occasional code reviews by a senior team member are to be expected.
Collaboration is key; you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Developers, Designers, and QA specialists to ensure rapid and top-quality iterations. A commitment to continuous learning is vital as we embrace our company’s core values.
Responsibilities:
Craft well-structured, testable, and efficient code adhering to the highest web development standards.
Maintain full ownership of code from development through to deployment in production environments.
Collaborate intensively with fellow Web Developers, Project Managers, and the QA team.
Ensure proactive, transparent communication within the team to meet deadlines and deliver tasks efficiently and consistently.
Develop solutions with a keen eye for UI design, cross-browser compatibility, general web functionalities, and adherence to the latest web standards.
Make informed decisions regarding appropriate architecture and other technical solutions, offering well-considered recommendations to the team.
Initiate and implement processes for the regular revision and updating of websites.
Analyze the technical requirements of a project thoroughly to ensure a successful implementation.
Seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships, and suggest potential improvements to the Project Manager for ongoing service enhancement.
Embrace creative problem-solving and innovation to provide exceptional value to clients.
Accurately track time spent on tasks using the designated time tracking tool and maintain a detailed log of tasks in JIRA.
Experience:
5+ years of Shopify front-end development experience: HTML, CSS, JS
4+ years in Agile software development
Skills:
Proficient in PHP programming.
Deep knowledge of Shopify core and Shopifysecurity practices.
Skilled in Shopify theme and plugin development.
Experienced with the Shopify REST API.
Strong in database management and SQL.
Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
Git feature branch workflow
Capable of optimizing Shopify performance.
Experienced in using debugging tools.
Able to integrate third-party APIs.
Experienced with local development environments like Local, MAMP, WAMP, or Docker.
Knowledgeable about web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Strong grasp of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Responsive design for various breakpoints
