Our team is part of Akamai’s Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. We create Fast Data Planes in an SDN system integrating dynamic Network Application products. We protect customers against growing threats of cyber-attacks and cyber terrorism.

As an Senior SDET , you will automate and execute automated tests. Tests that ensure resilient, scalable, quality software releases. That performs optimally on our state-of-the-art distributed infrastructure, for our DDOS mitigation solutions. Collaborating with other team members as well as product, project, and development teams distributed globally.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

Developing and executing test automation for smoke, functional, and regression test cases.

Designing and building test environments suitable for executing functional and regression testing scenarios.

Building test reports to provide meaningful and concise view of the state of the system under test

Accommodating to requirements for various tools that can assist with automating manual flows

Supporting technical risk assessment and contributing to decisions on release readiness and schedules

Ensuring that systems and software under test meet product requirements

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

Have experience automating and executing tests in a distributed environment

Demonstrate experience working with REST based API together with SQL based database

Experience in developing or testing software applications and network protocols like TCP/UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, GRE & BGP

Have experience working in Linux/Unix like operating systems

Have experience building tools upon request to optimize processes or data collection

Possess excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Experience developing test automation in Python, Java or Perl
