Job Summary
Raytheon’s Digital Services team is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Repair of the Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR). In this role you will be responsible for Computer Systems Operations and Maintenance for the Radar facility and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical point of contact for customer operations, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques.
In this role you will participate and implement in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
This unaccompanied onsite role is in Doha, Qatar on a long-term international assignment with additional compensation.
Ability to work with a shift schedule (First 07:00 am – 19:00 pm / Second 19:00 pm – 07:00 am).
What You Will Do

Establish procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program.

Work with engineering and maintenance staff to develop test scripts, monitors implementation of testing, documents test results support operations, and create complex technical reports on data findings.

Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Ensure that customer requirements are implemented, and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.

Integrate, and test computer systems-focused hardware, conduct software analyses, and consistent coordination and communication across teams ensuring effective software and hardware performance.

Work with onsite and remote team for tasks such as issuances of Smart Cards, managing policies for system deployment and on system assets, and manage / retain raw log audits of systems.

Review DoD and open-source intelligence for threats and perform vulnerability scans, triage alerts to identify malicious actors on customer networks, and ensure cyber policy is enforced and supports key team member reviews, as well as identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and integrate those into sensors and SIEMs.

May include guiding teams or sub-contractors to support the completion of above tasks.

Travel Requirements

Up to 100% travel to meet activities as needed.

Valid passport.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.
Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Experience with the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. NetFlow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.

Experience with primary cybersecurity policy information including DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework.

Experience and knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g. McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, ArcSight, QRadar, Splunk).

Experience with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based Forensics, Network Forensics, Vulnerability Scanning resources (Symantec, Tenable/Nessus), and malware analysis concepts and methods.

Experience with Linux and Windows, scripting, and programming (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible), and VMWare, tape backups, and Cisco switches.

Comprehension of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Certifications within a computer incident response organization or Security Operations Center (e.g., DoD 8570 IAT II; Certified Network Defender (CND)).

Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training.

Commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain.

Motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
