Akamai’s IT team innovates Corporate Infrastructure, Applications, Development, Security, and Compliance for customers and stakeholders. They oversee the IT Program Lifecycle and deliver strategic programs across the organization. They collaborate with programs throughout Akamai.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for the delivery of programs. ou’ll oversee strategic programs from planning to sustainment, reporting program benefits to Executive Sponsors and Governance Boards.
As a Program Manager Senior Technical, you will be responsible for:

Leading program definition, planning, scope, and execution of assigned Programs

Defining integrated program plans (including detailed work breakdown structures) and the deliverables required for the program’s success

Identifying dependencies and interdependencies between programs and successfully scope, size, and lead implementation of identified transformation/growth opportunities

Managing the health status of programs to anticipate risks and/or issues and implement mitigation plans

Working independently and comfortably in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teams

Adopting best-practice guidelines to influence and implement continuous improvements to PMO processes

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:

Have 8 years of relevant experience leading complex technical programs and a bachelor’s degree in CSE, or another related field

Have professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization

Have technical background to effectively lead technical teams and assess project risks and issues with accuracy and objectivity.

Have experience working on projects/programs supporting infrastructure upgrades and installations

Have experience managing external implementation provide

Have a successful track record of stakeholder management, effective interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent presentation and communication skills.
