Our Program Managers lead product programs and initiatives across the division from concept to market. We align product, engineering, and business teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai’s success. You will be responsible for leading projects and developing processes. That enables us to measure and improve performance resulting in improved customer satisfaction.

As a Program Manager Senior Technical, you will be responsible for:

Planning and organizing product-centric programs at the organization level, across multiple groups.

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks arising including those that arise from dependencies between groups.

Driving product-centric core teams, partnering cross-functionally with engineering teams to define, develop, and deploy product roadmap solutions.

Participating in, refining, and materially leading the product process, including leadership of the full software development lifecycle.

Using project management methodologies and best practices to ensure the successful delivery of products, projects, and releases.

Recognizing when new processes would be beneficial and establishing them.

Working with tool teams to implement new or updated tools in support of team or business processes.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in program/project management or its equivalent

Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Google products

Experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone.

Experience with program and project management principles and practices, PMP or Big 5 Consulting experience

Experience with business process, operations, and metric definition best practices. Risk and Issue management and resolution experience.

Be able to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability.
