Position Summary
As a Senior Technical Writer, you’ll be part of a collaborative team collaborating with internal stakeholders and customer organizations to deliver content for a Knowledge Management solution. Your mission? To create, edit, organize, and develop documentation for developers that’s crystal clear, concise, and perfectly tailored to the varying technical expertise of the audience.
Location: Remote (India)
Contract : 5 months
Skills and Responsibilities
Technical Aptitude: Tackle complex technologies head-on, showcasing your analytical prowess. You bring with you at least 3 years of experience or working knowledge writing for a payment platform.
Tools Expertise: Show off your advanced skills with markdown, GitHub, and Oxygen. Experience with Docusaurus is a serious bonus! You know how to navigate content management systems, publish workflows, and manage customer reviews and approvals with ease. You’re no stranger to Confluence, JIRA, markdown, Teams, and standard office tools (MS Office, we’re looking at you!).
Domain Expertise: Bring your wealth of knowledge, understanding, and hands on experience of FinTech, finance, and Payment software.
Adaptability: Dive into new technologies, tools, and processes with lightning speed. Our fast-paced environment is your playground.
Audience-Centric Content: Create user-friendly documentation while also addressing the needs of the developer community.
Writing Style: Craft your prose to fit project requirements, with a minimalist touch.
Content Quality: Lead the charge in enhancing content quality, usability, and team processes. Your insights matter.
Requirements Analysis: Dig deep into customer documentation needs, develop solid documentation plans, and write technical content.
Risk Management: Analyze risks, spot potential issues, and estimate content delivery timelines.
Information Architecture: Organize and simplify complex information for easy information retrieval.
Development Methodologies: Understand and be able to work in an Agile development approach.
Problem Solving: Channel your creativity to find ingenious solutions for complex documentation challenges.
Autonomy: Work independently, achieving established goals and resolving issues like a pro.
Teamwork: Gel with the team.
Communication Skills: Your written and verbal communication abilities? Excellent.
Self-Motivation: Whether working independently or as part of a geographically dispersed team, you’ve got this.
Qualifications
Education: Industry certification, college diploma, or university degree in technical writing, engineering, computer applications, or a related field (e.g., BE/ME, B Tech/M Tech, BCA/MCA).
Domains: A background, education, or comparable experience writing content for finance or payment software and devices is required.
Content: Must have experience writing developer or API documentation.
Experience: 8+ years of technical writing under your belt.
