Job Description
We are urgently seeking a seasoned XML / XBRL and Analytics Tools Expert who can effectively contribute towards the analysis, testing, development, and quality control of data collection systems for Resolution Reporting and Single Resolution Fund Reports.
This is remote position from any part of the EU.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise in designing and managing XML/XBRL solutions, strong analytical capabilities for interpreting business requirements, and proficiency with modern analytics and data integration tools.
Responsibilities:
The consultant will perform the following tasks and services:

XBRL Development, Testing, and Documentation:

Engage in the development, analysis, and testing of XBRL taxonomies for data collection related to Resolution Reporting and Single Resolution Fund Reports.

Prepare detailed supporting documentation to facilitate system understanding and operations.

Test and ensure quality control for XBRL taxonomies to ensure they meet business and technical standards.

Investigate and resolve bugs and incidents related to taxonomies and related production applications in XBRL.

Quality and Performance Management:

Provide quality plans, control tests, and detailed evaluations for information system infrastructure services or projects.

Conduct performance reviews on ongoing data collections and communicate findings to project teams.

Data Collection and Validation Service Management:

Manage data collection from web portals to databases.

Modify, design, and develop validation services for incoming documents.

Improve integration processes to ensure the smooth transfer of incoming data into the client’s database.

Technical Support and Strategy:

Work alongside project managers to advise on data model extensions, system enhancements, development, deployment, and configuration.

Define scenarios for data retrieval from portals in collaboration with the Business team.

Assist National Resolution Authorities (NRAs) in understanding technical requirements for data collections.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Participate actively in project meetings, business stakeholder discussions, functional working groups, and progress reviews.

Liaise with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of projects.

Qualifications
Key Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in the following areas:

XML/XBRL Expertise:

Expert knowledge of the logical and physical structure of XML documents.

Experience in XML parsing and processing, including XSD and XLink.

Proficiency with XBRL taxonomy frameworks linked to SRB resolution reporting and the EBA resolution framework.

Familiarity with EBA Filing Rules and SRB Filing Rules.

Knowledge of tools for supporting XBRL and its extensions (e.g., Arelle, XWand software).

Technical Skills:

Solid understanding of JSON and CSV documents.

Proficiency in relational databases, including strong SQL query capabilities.

Expertise in open-source applications for XML.

Knowledge of analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and advanced Excel.

Ability to write clear and structured technical documentation.

Knowledge of Framework and Regulations:

Familiarity with the Resolution reporting regulation (BRRD) is an advantage.

Knowledge of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow, is a plus.

Capability to propose and develop proofs of concept (POC).

Experience Level:
We are seeking a Technology Expert with demonstrated:

Proven work experience in XBRL development, analysis, and testing.

Knowledge of XBRL taxonomy editors and JSON is highly desirable.

Experience with financial reporting or regulatory systems is an advantage.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles requiring the expertise mentioned above.
