The Project
I’m the author of a cinematic, voice-driven American memoir called Barefoot and Bulletproof: The Dirty Little Glover Boys.
The book is gaining Upgrade to see actual infontum on Substack, Facebook, and LinkedIn-but I have a full-time job and need help managing and growing the platform.
We’re launching a focused 90-day campaign to:

Build a loyal reader base

Grow visibility and engagement

Reignite agent and publisher interest with proof of traction

I’m looking for a proactive, emotionally intelligent, tech-savvy manager to help run this campaign. You’ll free me up to write and engage while managing day-to-day platform execution.
This isn’t just another gig. It’s a chance to help launch a powerful memoir with real emotional depth. I want someone hungry to prove they’ve got what it takes-a rising star ready to level up and make their mark.
Your Role
You’ll be the central operator of this campaign-running the calendar, coordinating a small team, and making sure content goes out on time, looks great, and drives results.
This is not a VA position. It’s ideal for someone who:

Understands storytelling, content, and audience growth

Is confident across multiple platforms

Thrives on meaningful work with a mission

Responsibilities

Build and manage a weekly content calendar

Schedule posts across Substack, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram

Write/edit short captions pulled from longer memoir content

Coordinate two teaUpgrade to see actual infombers (graphic designer + outreach assistant)

Track key metrics: impressions, followers, comments, open rates

Recommend and manage boosted posts (Facebook ads)

Maintain OneDrive folders and Microsoft Teams channel

Deliver weekly reports with insights and next steps

Make light edits to my Squarespace website (training provided)

Requirements

Excellent spoken and written English (I’m hard of hearing, so clear communication matters)

Strong writing/editing instincts-especially tone and emotional nuance

Familiar with Buffer, Canva, Excel, or Metricool (or quick to learn)

Comfortable with Substack, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, and Instagram

Confident leading small remote teams

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive

Available ~15-20 hours/week (flexible schedule okay)

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience growing an author’s platform or Substack

Interest in memoir, creative nonfiction, or storytelling

Passion for emotionally resonant American stories

Compensation & Growth

Starting Rate: $8-$10/hour
