Software Engineer – Python, Node.js – Midrand / Semi-Remote – R750 Per hour
Are you a talented Engineer with experience in Python with a strong background in Java and Node.js ? An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Software Engineer with Node.js expertise to join an innovative and dynamic team on a long term contract basis.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Python and Node.js, with a passion for developing scalable, efficient, and robust applications. They will play a critical role in building and maintaining innovative software solutions while contributing to a collaborative and tech-driven environment.
Requirements:

Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, Cloud Architecture and Container Architecture

At least 6 years’ worth of experience using back-end technologies such as

Python

Node.js

Java

Experience with the following cloud technologies:

Azure/Google Cloud/AWS (AWS is strongly preferred)

Kubernetes (EKS, AKS or Self-Managed)

AWS API Gateway, CloudWatch, EC2, RDS, S3

Automated deployment and configuration of components and systems

IaaS knowledge, e.g. deployment and maintenance of Linux VMs

Virtual networks, including communication with on-premises networks

Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (design, configuration, and operation)

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Monitoring, log analytics and observability

Experience with SQL Databases (PostgreSQL or others)

Experience with:

Web Services Design & Deployment

REST

GIT

Experience with Design / Architecture Patterns

Experience CI/CD Tools like GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus

Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
