Now we are looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to join the team in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Job description:
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The airfare data platform is based on cutting edge cloud technologies which are needed to process the several billion events every day, allowing near real-time data queries and historical analytical workloads.
The teams challenge lies in implementing an ingestion and delivery system that can manage ever growing big data volumes efficiently, measured in low latency and attractive price point. The main technologies used to ingest and transform the data are Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake and MS SQL. The delivery part of the platform offers industry leading data sharing experience to our customer through diverse data distribution channels, such as: Direct Data Sharing powered by Snowflake; Feed Files via RClone, SSH.NET and FluentFT. More channels will be added as the technology allows and the customer are ready for it.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Leading and managing software engineering team (DK and LT): 1:1, development plans, feedback

Recruiting and developing high performing team members

Acting as key team interface to internal stakeholders

Driving innovation and continuous improvements

Ensuring Continuous Delivery best practices are followed

Ensuring the best coding practices are being applied

Ensuring well-structured documentation is produced

Applying Agile methodology to ensure efficient delivery of the project scope

Sharing business domain and technical knowledge across the organization

Owning overall product architecture and technical vision

Contributing to overall OAG architecture and technical vision

Hands-on contribution to product development activities

Keeping up to date with relevant technologies and best practices

Requirements:

Strong background in hands on software engineering role (.net developer, QA Engineer)

Solid Experience in Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Practices

Solid Experience in applying appropriate automation testing tools and frameworks (Unit, Component, Integration, Feature tests)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform

Experience in applying Agile methodologies (any of these: Scrum, Kanban, DSDM)

Experience working with AWS

Experience with SQL, MS SQL, Snowflake

Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks and Scala

Experience working with Azure is beneficial

Experience with CosmosDB or another NoSQL database is beneficial

Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

Strong interpersonal skills

Great communication skills

Fluency in English (at least B2)

Monthly Salary:
We will ensure that the exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary starts from 5800 up to 7000 EUR gross per month).
