At UnitedHealthcare, the Enterprise Cost Impact (ECI) team is crucial in evaluating and managing the financial implications of all initiatives that effect operations. As an ECI Analyst, you will develop financial impact assessments for various initiatives, including but not limited to clinical affordability, regulatory, investment, capital, and automation projects. You will assess feasibility and ensure realistic financial impacts to foster strategic alignment across the enterprise.
In this role, you will collaborate with a variety of business partners to gather requirements, assumptions, and solution details for each initiative. You will socialize the project and benefit case to gain feedback and funding approvals and work with workforce partners to integrate the financial impacts into budget forecasts.
This position requires a highly detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and results-driven individual. Quality and accuracy are paramount for the success of the team and the financial health of core operations. The result of your work empowers stakeholders to decide the fate of initiatives and funding.
This position is full time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assemble and lead business partner calls to socialize projects, their benefit cases, and obtain business decisions
Facilitate communication and collaboration among business partners.
Collaborate with workforce partners to update tools, metrics, and assumptions to ensure accuracy
Build relationships and collaborate with business partners
Serve as a centralized point of contact for project financial estimates to business partners
Maintain comprehensive project / ticket documentation, tracking project through deployment and post-deployment reassessment
Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Monitor and manager financial risks throughout the project lifecycle
Implement quality assurance processes to continuously improve the accuracy of financial estimates and targets
Reconcile financial budget forecasts
Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions
Recommend improvements to meet customer needs

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
Must be 18 years of age OR older
2+ years of project management experience with a proven track record of managing multiple ongoing projects
1+ years of experience in data analytics, including extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to develop business case assumptions
Experience with creating business estimates OR CBAs
Experience with analytical techniques and business acumen, with knowledge in capacity planning, workforce planning, and financial forecasting
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate data within queries, pivot tables, etc
Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST from Monday – Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with processing OR mapping processes in the commercial business segment(s) (including but not limited to inside UMR, UNET platform, USP platform, Surest, etc.)
3+ years of experience with processing OR analyzing business processes within claims, appeals, provider, enrollment and billing (Core Operations)
1+ years of experience in delivering presentations to directors and senior management

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
