Sr. Manufacturing Technology Specialist – Warehouse Excellence (Remote)
The Sr. Manufacturing Technology Specialist (Warehouse Excellence Team) oversees the operational, systematic, and personnel development of managers and supervisors across multiple manufacturing plants. Key responsibilities include working with a team of Warehouse Managers/Supervisors, providing guidance to ensure performance targets are achieved, fostering positive employee relations, and nurturing leadership talent within the organization. This role demands agility, sound judgment, and the ability to problem solve amidst ambiguity, coupled with a strong inclination towards innovation. Moreover, the incumbent must instill a culture of action-oriented behavior, accountability, and a relentless pursuit of talent acquisition and development at an accelerated pace.
Essential Functions
Training Delivery

Deliver training to participants of Warehouse Leadership (Supervisor & Manager)

Conduct pre/post training assessments

Instructional Design

Manage the development of in person-led courses and ongoing support materials

Ensure training materials are in line with overall training strategy and approach

Works with the Content Coordinator to create assigned end user training documentation and ongoing support material, according to defined standards

Transfer knowledge to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor for inclusion in training documentation

Coach and counsel the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor in the development of course materials

Coordinate and facilitate workshops during new Warehouse Manager/Supervisor onboarding

Conduct internal reviews of course materials with the Manufacturing Technology Manager

Provides a final technical review of all eLearning courseware

Communicate effectively with training stakeholders for any requirements

Supports periodic training needs assessment to ensure training needs are being met

Spearheads the development of quality initiatives, process improvements, and Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, aligning with business objectives.

Collaborate with other Technical Services groups to write, or work with vendors to develop, written and demonstration-based Skills Assessments to determine baseline knowledge of all Niagara Mfg Technical personnel

Lead in the curriculum design for training programs, activities including instructor led, online, and alternative. This person will assist in the responsibilities of the team for developing and writing content, both traditional and e-learning training and materials

Firm understanding and ability to support and drive key warehouse focus area metrics. Safety, quality, process time, inventory, financials, asset management and warehouse space utilization

Deep understanding of warehouse processes, warehouse management systems, inventory, and overall business processes.

Responsible for Warehouse Management System. Understands the WMS database structure and can perform advanced configuration of WMS to improve functionality.

Identify high-level risk areas within each site and develop written training plans to address issues

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

4 Years – Experience in Warehouse Distribution Management/Leadership

4 Years – Experience in Position

2 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Ability to Travel 80% Domestic and International.

6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
