Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal and external customers to define business requirements
Work with the technical team to develop innovative solutions to resolve complex problems, and researching customer issues
Analyze, document and prioritize the work to be completed by the development team
Act as an X12 Subject Matter Expert for the product and the larger EDI validation suite of products
Maintain X12 compliance for products that impact internal and external customers
Be a Subject Matter Expert willing to answer questions and mentor others
Participate in industry committees and influence industry standards
Create and maintain user documentation, assist in effort estimation, and respond to customer inquiries
Work on Data Mapping and Gap Analysis
Translate business requirements into functional requirements
Research and implement industry changes

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience
3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting X12 work products
2+ years of experience analyzing Payer Companion Guides, Code Sets, TR3s
Understanding of IT systems, processes and development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience participating on an X12 committee
Experience working in an Agile environment
Proficient in troubleshooting and complex problem solving
Proven solid interpersonal and communication skills
Proven leadership and project management skills
Proven ability to estimate and plan upcoming work; and deliver quality work

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
